GUY, Sattie May - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Sattie Mae Guy, 86, widow of Charles J. Guy, well known retired local barber, who died in March of 1945, expired at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at her home, 506 Colfax Avenue. She had been a resident of Benton Harbor for the past 50 years. The daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret May, she was born in Attica, Ind., on Feb. 1, 1861. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. A. N. Michelson, of South Haven, wife of an early-day manager of the Premier hotel here; and a son, William Barco, of Orange, Va., a sister, Mrs. Maude Columbe, Chicago; a brother, Horace May, Buffalo, N. Y.; and a grandson, James W. Barco, Washington, D. C. Mrs. Guy was a member of the Quiet club, a social group. Christian Science funeral services will be held at the Slaughter & Hill funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in Crystal Springs cemetery.
