GUNN, Harry

Harry Gunn was born at Sheridan, Ind Jan 13, 1886 son of James Benjamin and Alice Gunn.  He spent his boyhood in that community and December 1905 married Halsie Eaton, also of Sheridan. To this union 8 children were born 5 of which survive.  In 1925, Harry came with the family to Veedersburg where he was employed by the Indiana Condensed Milk Company until 1936.  He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, the Veedersburg Christian Church, Veedersburg School Board, Veedersburg Booster Club and will be remembered as a community minded individual.  Since 1936 he has resided in Indianapolis with a niece, Mrs. Mamie Mace, at whose home he died Thursday, Jan 30.  Mr. Gunn passed away as a result of surgery at
the age of 61.  Those preceding him in death are Joan at age 2; Jeanie at the age of 17 and Ben at the age of 38 who passed awawy Oct 17, 1946.  Surviving are Cy of Mr. Vernon, Ind; John of Hammond; Halton who
is in the Army now in Germany; Rosemary Cronk and Billie of Veedersburg.  On October 6, Harry became a member of the West Washington Methodist Church of Indianapolis.  When we think of Harry it is as a family man, with a smile for all, interested in his community and fellow men.
