Wabash, Ind Nov 20 – Edward W. Gumert, 64, editor for 25 years of the Lagro Press, a weekly newspaper, died last night of a heart attack. He had lived here 15 years. He was married to Ada Lyons of Attica and lived in that city for five years before moving to Wabash County. Survivors are his widow, a son (Tom) and a sister.

“Newtown article” – Funeral services were held Dec 21 at the home for Samuel Templeton. He is survived by one son, Glenn; one brother, two sisters and two half brothers. Rev. CC Rockwell had charge of the services and burial was made in Newtown Cemetery. – kbz
