VEEDERSBURG — Austin Myron Gulley, age 48, died suddenly at his home on Veedersburg Rt. 1 at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10. Death was due to natural causes, according to an autopsy performed by Fountain County Coroner Robert B. Shelby of Covington. Mr. Gulley was born May 8, 1921 in Terre Haute, the son of Edward and Dessa Marie Nead Gulley. He had never married. He had been a resident of Veedersburg Rt. 1 since 1958 and he was a former resident of the Foster and Danville Rt. 6 areas. He had been employed as a nursing assistant at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill., for 15 years. Surviving are: his mother of Veedersburg Rt. 1; three brothers, Ralph Gulley of Covington Rt. 1, Robert of Danville, Ill., and Kermit of Veedersburg Rt. 1; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Carey of Oakwood, Ill., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 13, at the Parham Funeral Horne in Veedersburg. Burial was in the Rockfield Cemetery, southeast of Veedersburg. --waw
