KINGMAN — Charley R. Guinn, 86, Kingman, died at 3:55 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 in Roudebush V.A. Medical Center, Indianapolis. He was born Nov. 9, 1920 in Kingman, the son of Charley and Lula (Ransom) Guinn. He married Marie Southard Feb. 8, 1941 in Newport. She preceded in death Dec. 27, 2003. He retired from Hurletron in Danville, Ill. in 1986. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army. He attended Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi. He was a member of the machinist union I.A.M. He enjoyed working on, restoring and driving his antique cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include: a daughter, Betty Jo Riley, Kingman; two sons, Charlie Paul (Freida Kent) Guinn, Cates, and Terry Leon (Barbara) Guinn, Kingman; five grandchildren, Sandra (Riley) Ireland, Covington, Michele (Rick) Hunley, Kingman, Perry Riley Jr. and Holly (Brian) Gearhart, both of Kingman, and Justin Guinn, West Virginia; four great-grandchildren; a great-grandson, Lincoln Scott Gearhart, due to arrive into this world October 2007; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Guinn, Kingman. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Dale Guinn on Sept. 19, 2003; two sisters; and three brothers. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga, with the Rev. William Lehman officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, with military rites by the Cayuga American Legion Rainbow Post #263.
