Covington, Dec 12 – Death came to King Edward Grubb, 41, Covington business men at 4 p.m. Thursday in Lake View Hospital, Danville. Death was caused by peritonitis. For the past 7 years he had operated the Grubb Implement store in Covington and was agent for the Minneapolis-Moline Company. Mr. Grubb was born in Troy Township Nov 15, 1902 a son of Granvile P. and Mary Maiden Grubb. On Nov 21, 1923 he was married to Cleo French who survives. Also surviving are three children: Patricia student nurse at Lake View Hospital in Danville; Clara Marie, Junior in the local high school and Edward Cleon, 10 at home; his father and stepmother; two sisters, Mrs. Roxie Hardy and Mrs. Reatha Powell of Covington; five brothers, Theodore, William and Granville, Jr. of Covington, James and Charles of Veedersburg. Mr. Grubb was a member of the Covington Methodist Chuurch; director of the Buster Club and a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge and the Conversation Club. Funeral services were held tody at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with the Rev. George Beatty of Terre Haute, assisted by the Rev. JS White of Covington officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery.
