COVINGTON -- Miss Mary Louise Groves, age 72, a native of Covington, died at 8:15 p.m. Friday, June 25, in the Tall Trees Nursing Home where she had been a patient four years. Miss Groves was born June 30, 1898 in Covington, the daughter of Luther and Olive Adkins Groves. She left Covington with her family and resided in South Dakota 20 years. She worked for and made her home with the late Mrs. Ruth McMahon Kieran for many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Covington and a former member of its Queen Esther Society. She also was a member of Wabash Camp 6070, Royal Neighbors of America, and the Auxiliary Unit of the Fulton-Banta Post 291, American Legion of Covington. In later years she attended the First Assembly of God Church here. Miss Groves is survived by: one half-sister, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Reed of Mobile, Ala., and six cousins, Mack, Albert, Marguerite and Mildred Adkins, all of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Edwards of Yuma, Ariz., and Mrs. Helen Ford of Ft. Myers, Fla. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. The Rev. Edgar Allen, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, officiated. Burial was in Mt.
