Upper Fountain – Mrs. Frank Gross died at her home, one and one-half miles east of Snyder’s Mille on Thursday night, Oct 19 at the tender age of 19. Little Mary, as she was called had lived with her uncle, John Campbell, since the death of her mother, which occurred when she was quite small. She was married to Frank Gross Aug 7, 1892. She leaves a little daughter but three months old in the cold world without the love that only mothers know to protect her. The funeral occurred at 4 o’clock p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church in Hillsboro by Brother Canfield of Indianapolis. Interment in the Hillsboro cemetery. – kbz
