VEEDERSBURG—Kenneth W. Gross, 55, prominent Veedersburg businessman, died at 2 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been admitted only a few days ago after suffering a heart attack. Gross, a Veedersburg native and lifelong resident, was a distributor for Standard Oil of Indiana for the last 30 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge at Danville, Ill., and the Veedersburg Lions Club. He was a member of the Stone Bluff EUB Church. A son of Jesse and Gertrude Ward Gross, he was born on Aug. 28, 1912. He was married on June 19, 1937, to June Glover, who survives. Also surviving are the mother; a son, Kenneth Lee; a daughter, Marilyn Leas; a brother, Harold; a sister, Dorothy McGary, and two grandchildren, all of Veedersburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Revs. Mrs. Edith Bruner and Conley Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Veedersburg, Ind. (CNS) -- Kenneth W. Gross, 54, a life resident of Veedersburg, died at 2 a.m. today (July 29, 1967) at St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient a few days. He was born Aug. 28, 1912, in Fountain County, the son of Jesse and Gertrude Ward Gross. He was married June 19, 1937, to June Glover, who survives. Also surviving are his mother; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Leas; a son, Kenneth Lee Gross at home; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy McGary; a brother, Harold Gross; and two grandchildren, all of Veedersburg. He was a graduate of Veedersburg High and a member of the E.U.B. Church at Stone Bluff. He also was a member of the Danville Elks Club and the Veedersburg Lions Club. He had been associated with the Standard Oil Co. of Veedersburg for 30 years. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Parham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mrs. Edith Bruner and the Rev. Conley Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Osborn Prairie Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday. --typed by Walt W
