GROGG, Edgar - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Edgar P. Grogg, age 56, of 324 South Broad St., Griffith, Ind., father of Covington City Attorney Vincent (Vince) Grogg, died Monday, July 19, at Mercy Hospital in Gary. He had been a patient at the hospital since Saturday, July 3, when he suffered a stroke. Mr. Grogg had been employed as safety director with the Sinclair Oil Refining Co. He is survived by his wife, Florence; four sons, Vince of Covington, Edward of Orlando, Fla., Thomas and Lee, both of Griffith; and his father, Alva F. Grogg of Auburn. Also surviving are: two sisters, Mrs. Ruth George of Auburn and Mrs. Bessie Mochamer of Elkhart; two brothers, Edward and Alva Grogg, both of Auburn, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Griffith Methodist Church. The Rev. James E. Cheney will officiate and burial, with the Johnston & Royse Funeral Home in charge, will be in a Griffith cemetery.  --waw
