Harold Lee Groce, 74, Waynetown, died 7:30 p.m. Saturday in his residence. Mr. Groce was an employee with Raybestos Crawfordsville for 32 years retiring in 1992. His memberships included Baptist Church and Moose Lodge 6, Crawfordsville. He attended school at Veedersburg and Wallace. He was born May 20, 1929 near Hillsboro to Benjamin and Flora Smith Groce. He married Betty Alward Jan 1, 1949 at Morganfield, Ky. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Marcia McCormick and Rhonda (Jim) Lee, both of Waynetown; three brothers, Harry (Jean) Groce, Waynetown, Gene (Margaret5) Groce, Hillsboro; Sam (Alma) Groce, Cape Coral, Fla; two sisters, Gladys (Earl) Cable, Albany KY; Carrie Compton, Urbana, Ill; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One sister preceded her (sic) in death. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Wednesday in Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Pastor Mile Wren officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. - kbz
