Hillsboro – Flora A. Groce, 91, died in an Albany, KY., hospital Tuesday night.
She was a member of Community Bible Church and attended school in Kentucky.
Born July 9, 1889, near Glasgow, Ky., she was a daughter of Zack and Martha Smith Smith.  She was married to Ben Groce, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by four sons, Sam J. of Lisle, Ill., Harry G. of Veedersbury, Gene of Hillsboro and Harold L of Waynetown; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Gladys) Cable of Albany Ky., and Mrs. Carrie Compton of Urbana, Ill.; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edna Swindler of Hillsboro; and two brothers, Clarence Smith of Hillsboro and Roy Smith of Alamo.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and three brothers.

Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Community Bible Church near Veedersburg with the Rev. Harry Hybarger and the Rev. David Frazeur officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro 3- 9 p.m. Friday.  smc

Mrs. Flora A. Groce of Hillsboro, age 91, died Tuesday night, January 6, at the hospital in Albany, Kentucky. She was born near Glasgow, Kentucky, July 8, 1889, the daughter of Zack and Martha Smith Smith. She was the widow of Ben Groce, who died in March of 1960. Mrs. Groce was a member of Community Bible Church near Veedersburg.

  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Compton of Urbana, Illinois, and Mrs. Gladys Cable of Albany, with whom she had lived about a year; four sons, Sam J. of Lisle, Illinois, Harry G. of RR 4, Veedersburg, Gene of rural Hillsboro and Harold L. of Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Edna Swindler of Hillsboro; two brothers, Clarence Smith of Hillsboro and Roy Smith of Alamo; 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro to Community Bible Church for funeral services Saturday morning. Rev. Harry Hybarger and Rev. David Frazeur officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. - Thanks to S
