KINGMAN – Mirtie Gritten, 99, died today in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosetta Osborn of Danville, Ill. Mrs. Gritten was born March 24, 1875, a daughter of John and Evelyn Brown Burns. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Ruby) Stepovich of Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Lewis (Dorothy) Budnovich of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Osborn; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1950, two sons, two brothers, and two sisters. Services are pending at Woodrow Funeral Home here. – jlr

KINGMAN – Funeral services for Mirtie Gritten, 99, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Woodrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs of Veedersburg officiating. Burial will be in Collison Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today.  – jlr

 Kingman, Ind.—Mrs. Mirtie Gritten, 99, died about 2 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 29, 1974) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Rosetta Osborn, 414 Lake View, Danville.
  Born in Illinois, she was the daughter of John and Eveline Brown Burns.
  Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Osborn, Mrs. Joseph (Ruby) Stepovich of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Lewis (Dorothy) Budnovich of Danville; nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
  She was preceded in death on Sept. 22, 1950, by her husband, William; and by two sons, two brothers and two sisters.
  Mrs. Gritten was a member of the Nazarene Church of Cates. – s
