Evalena Gritten 83, Cates, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday Oct 30 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill. SHe was born April 9, 1903 , in Indiana, daughter of Arist and Hannah Dark Shoaf. She married Alva Gritten Jan 20, 1919; he died April 4, 1949. She was a member of Stringtown Church of God; retired from Raqdio Materials, Attica. Surviving are two sons, Fred and Bernard (Mutt) rural Kingman; 3 sistres, Opel Wakeland, Kingman, Hazel Wakeland and Laurena Allen, rural Kingman; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. SHe was preceded indeath by a daughter, Ruth a brother and 3 sisters. Funeral services were at 4:30 Saturday at Woodrow Funeral Home, Kingman with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
