GOLDA GRISMORE, daughter of G.W. AND MRS. S. J. GRISMORE, was born January 6, 1887 and departed this life June 18 1908, aged 21 years, 6 month and 12 days. She leaves a loving mother and father, three brothers and two sisters to morn her sad loss. She was well known and highly esteemed by a large circle of warm friends in this vicinity who will be sorrow stricken to learn of her sudden death.
Deceased has spent most of her life on the little farm with her parents southwest of town until about a year ago when they moved to this place. She has been in poor health for some time. About three weeks ago she went to Chicago to stay with her sister, who is a trained nurse, in hopes of regaining her health, but it seems that the change did not good as she gradually grew worse from the time she left here. Every thing was done for her that could possibly be done. She had the minister to call and pray with her and after confessing Christ she sent word to her dear mother that she must not worry for she was praying and trusting in her Heavenly father; that she was walking through the valley of death with Jesus. She made all plans for her burial and they were carried out as near as possible according to her request. While she will be greatly missed by all, yet the dear Lord knowing what is best has taken her home to be at rest with him until the morning of the resurrection. Funeral services were conducted from the Friends church in this place Sunday at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. J. E. Miller afterwhich the remains were laid to rest in the Harveysburg cemetery. - s
