Wallace -- James William (Bill) Grimes, Sr. 73 of Rt 1, Hillsboro died Thursday afternoon in his residence. He was a retired Wallace Postmaster. He owned the Webster Grocery until 1935 and then the Wallace Grocery. He was graduated from Wallace HS was a member of Wallace Christian Church and Wallace Masonic Lodge 495. He was a member of the Wallace Low 12. Born Oct 19, 1902, he was a son of Albert Bruce and Elzada Philpott Grimeso f Wallace. He was married to Jewell Pyle in Veedersburg June 4, 1922. Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Larsh of Indianpaolis and Mrs. Russell (Joanne) Gooding of Wallace; a son, James W. Jr. of Portage and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be 2 p. m. Saturday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Waynetown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
