GRIMES, Harriet Shuler - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

In the same community where she was born, reared and spent her life, Mrs. Harriet Grimes, 92, d. at 11:30 o'clock Tuesday night, May 16, 1939 at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Martin Bart at Wallace She has been in failing health for sev. months, but had been seriously ill only 10 days. Shw was b. Nov 20, 1846 d/o John & Mary Haga Shuler at the ol Shuler homestead E. of Wallace in Jackson Twp. She married WL Grimes, who died Jan 19, 1913. Three children also preceded her in death. Ida died in infancy, Albert in 1927 and Charles last Feb. 3. She was a member of the Lutheran Chucrh.Surviving are Mrs. Bart; a grandson, James W. Shuler, of Wallace; five gr. grandch and two gr gr grandch all of Wallace. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock on Friday afternoon at Phanuel Lutheran church, with the Rev. WC Donaldson officieating. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
