As an angel slowly floated
O'er a city's broad domain,
Gazed he on a patient sufferer
Lying on her couch of pain.
In his arms he gently raised her.
Soothing her dreary fears,
Whispering words of cheer and
comfort;
Wiped away all her tears.
Then he bore his burden upward
To Mansion of the Blest,
Where the faint and heavy hearted
Enter into blissful rest.
Faithful Wife and loving Mother,
Thou are done with earthly
strlfe,
Thou hast gained the Crown
Immortal,
Thou hast entered into Life.
