Wallace – Miss Effie Zettie Grimes, 73, died at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Luu Krout near Wallace following an illness of 7 weeks. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church east of Wallace on Thursday with Rev. Isaiah Whitman, Mulberry, Ind officiating. Miss Grimes was born March 28, 1872 near Wallace, daughter of Hiram A and Sarah E. Brent Grimes. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Krout with whom she lived; Mrs. Minnie Sowers and Mrs. Ortha Grimes, Wallace; two brothers Thomas and Oscar Grimes near Wallace, a foster daughter, Mrs. Margaret Baker, Wallace.
