GRIMES, Charles Clifton - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles C. GRIMES, 67, life-long resident of Jackson Township died at 6:15 o'clock Friday night at his home in Wallace. His death was due to a complication of disease. Born near Wallace, Mr. Grimes was the son of William Lewis and Harriet Shuler Grimes. He married Orpha Grimes on Sept 14, 1898. The deceased was associated in the mercantile business in Wallace with a brother, Albert B. Grimes for several years. Suraviving in addition to the widow, are his mother; a foster daughter, Mrs. Willa Bullack; a nephew, JW Grimes and a niece, Mrs. Martin Bart, all of Wallace. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Lutheran Church of which he was a member in charge of Rev. WC Donaldson. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
