GRIFFIN, Harvey - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Harvey m. Griffin, 77 of 1303 N. College St, died at 6 a.m. Frida in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. He had been a patient there three days and in failing health five years. Mr. Griffin, a member of the Bricklayers Union was employed by Hydraulic Brick Co here before failing health forced him to retire. Born March 7, 1887 in Parke County, he was a son of WIlliam and Emma Hendricks Griffin. He was married Nov 1, 1914 to Fay Baldwin of Veedersburg. Survivors include the widow; a son, Laverne (Dick) Griffin of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Edith BIrge of Veedersburg; a brother, Ted Griffin of Montezuma; three sisters, Mrs. Rennie Moore of Phoenix, AZ; Mrs. Viola Askern of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Maggie Warner of Clinton; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services are announced for 1 p.m. Monday at the Fishero Funeral Home here, with Rev. Dean Hillyer of Danville, Ill, the officiating inister and burial in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
