GREMORE, Louis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Louis Z. Gremore, prominent farmer died Wednesday afternoon at 5:15 at his home in Portland.  He had lived in Fountain County for the past 15 years.  Mr. Gremore was born Jan 27, 1894 in Knox County, Indiana the son of Charlie and Anna Ferguson Gremore.  He was married to Rosie Seals on Dec 24, 1913 who survives.  He was a member of the K of P Lodge since 1938. Surviving besides the widow are four daughters: Mrs. Bernice Galloway Rt 3, Covington; Mrs. Pauline Hughes, Attica; Mrs. Marie Crum, Indianapolis; Mrs. Emma Shookman, Arlington, VA; three sons: Raymond Gremore, Rt 1, Milford, Ill; Lewis Jr and Noble both at home.  Three brothers, George Gremore and Ernie Gremore both of Vincennes and Chester Gremore of Pontiac, Mich.  Five sisters: Mrs. Anna Ivers; Mrs. Cora Ivers; Mrs. Opal Rushchneck, Mrs. Louise Staley and Mrs. Bernida Sparrow all of near Vincennes, Ind and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Fountain Christian Church with the Rev.
