Marion, N.C. - Joint funeral services for Herbert Ezelle Greene, 77 and his wife, Mrs. Betty Lusk Greene, 64, who were fatally injured Monday in an auto accident near Rutherfordton were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sugar Hill Baptist church. The Revs. Lloyd Shell and eules Adkins officiated. Burial was in McDowell Memorial Park. Mr. Greene died Monday en route to the Rutherfordton hospital and Mrs. Greene died Tuesday morning at the hospital. Mr. Greene is survived by two sons, Herbert E. Jr. of Covington and Horace E. of Black Mountain; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Lane of Woodruff, S.C. and Mrs. Robert Swann of Swannanoa and five grandchildren.
