James Archie Green, 58, self-employed carpenter, died unexpectedly, apparently of a heart attack at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 27, 1978, at his residence on Attica R 4. Born in Elba, Ala., (Dec 27, 1920 son of Clarence O. and Dessie Leota Kingen) - papemortuary.com) he came to Attica in 1936 and had resided in the Winthrop area 20 years. His first marriage was to Florence Powell Wolf. In 1963, he was married at Williamsport to Carla Ruth Ault Campbell, who survives. He had been a carpenter for 30 years and previously was employed at Harrison's. He attended the Attica Lutheran church. Surviving with the widow are one son David Archie Green of Attica R 1; a daughter, Judith L. Green, Attica; three step daughters, Mrs. Donald (Elana) Wolf of Ladoga, Mrs. John (Angela) Dill, R 1, Attica, and Mrs. Dennis (Toni) Bayless, R 4, Attica; two stepsons, Eric Campbell, R 1, Williamsport, & Mark Campbell at home; his mother, Mrs. Dessie Green of Attica; seven brothers, Francis of Independence, George of Nevada and Chester, Jack, David Ray, Charles and Ernest Green, all of Attica; and three sisters Mrs. Dean (Donna) Jennings of Wingate, Mrs. Keith (Priscilla) O'Haver of Bloomingdale and Mrs. Kenneth (Sue) Taylor of Anderson. Funeral services Friday at 11:00 a. m. at the Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Pastor Karl Korbel officiating. Burial in Riverside cemetery. --waw
