GREEN, Ed - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg -- Funeral services for Ed Green, age 77, who died at his home here at 7:30 p. m. Saturday, Oct. 20, were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Lutheran Church in Wallace. The Rev. Harry Hybarger officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Green, who last was employed at the State Highway Garage, south of here, had been in failing health for a year. He was born April 13, 1885 in Hart County, Ky., the son of John and Lucy Nelson Green. He was married May 13, 1908 to Maggie Bowman, who preceded him in death Aug. 26, 1940. On Dec. 29, 1945 he was married to Evelyn Gray, who survives with four children by the first marriage, Fred and Earl Green of Indianapolis, Mrs. Ura Taylor of Greencastle, and Mrs. Ruby Cooper of Rockville. Also surviving are: one Brother, Herman Green of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The Crumley Funeral Home of Hillsboro was in charge of the funeral arrangements.  --typed by Walt W
