GREEN, Darrell G. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Darrell Green, 33, died at 1 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of his mother, Mrs. Grace Odel in Veedersburg, following an extended illness. He was brought to Veedersburg last week after having been a patient at Mercy Hospital in Chicago for several weeks. Born at Byron, Jan 7, 1907 Mr. Green was the son of Lafe & Grace Lightle Green. In recent years he had been employed at Memphis, Tenn and had married Gladys Rollyson of West Virginia who survives. He came to Veedersburg a year ago when he first took sick. In addition to the mother and widow, a brother, Cecil Green, Crawfordsville, and 5 sisters, Mrs. Hazel Whelchel, Crawfordsivlle; Mrs. Marie Hewlan, Anderson; Mrs. Blanche Blake, Peoria, Il; Mrs. Mary Smith, Hillsboro and Miss Marjorie Green, Vededersburg survive. Funeral services were held at 2 Tuesday at the Veedersburg United Bretheren Church with Rev. Frank Egnew in charge; burial in Rockfield Cemetery. -- kbz
