ATTICA — Clarence O. Green, age 71, of Attica, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington. He had been ill one year. Mr. Green was born Aug. 23, 1896, in Attica, the son of Elihu and Etta Mae McKinney Green. He was married Sept. 3, 1918, at Williamsport, to Dessie Kingen, who survives. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Fathers Auxiliary of the VFW. He attended the Free Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: eight sons, Clarence F. (Jack) Green of Attica Rt. 3, Francis E., Attica Rt. 3, Chester G. and Charles, both of Attica, David Ray of Camp Lejeune, N. C., and George L. of Reno, Nev.; three daughters, Mrs. Priscilla Ohaver of Williamsport, Mrs. Sue Marie Taylor of Anderson and Miss Donna Green, of home; one brother, Jesse Green of Williamsport; two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Sexton of Lafayette and Mrs. Cecil Woods of Arkansas; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. T. Edward Davis officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. --waw

Attica – Clarence O. Green,  71, of 500 Summit St, Attica died Saturday in Rudisell Convalescent Home, Covington. He was a patient there one day and ill a year. Born in Attica, he was a life resident here and was married in 1918 to Dessie Kingen at Williamsport. He worked as a carpenter for Lawrence Thise, Lafayette until his retirement six years ago.  A member of the VFW Fathers Auxiliary, he served in the infantry in WWI. Surviving with the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Priscilla O’Haver, Williamsport; Mrs. Sue Marie Taylor, Anderson and Donna at home; eight sons, Clarence “Jack”, Charles and Ernest, Attica; Chester at home; James A. and Francis E, both of Rt 3, Attica; Sgt David R. Green with the Marines at Camp LeJeune, NC and George L. Reno, Nevada. Also two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Sexton, Lafayette and Mrs. Cecil Woods in Arkansas and a brother, Jesse, Williamsport.
