VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Auguste Green, 78, of Veedersburg Route 3, died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday (April 8, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been a patient 10 days. Born Sept. 18, 1894, at Danville, she was the daughter of Christian and Emma Schoop Nicklas. She was married Feb. 7, 1917, at Covington to William I. Green, who survives. She was a member of the Mellott United Christian Church, Veedersburg Valetta Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Stone Bluff Ladies Aid, Rural Van Buren Home Economics Club, Happy-Go-Lucky Club and Mellott Fish and Game Club. Survivors also include a daughter, Mrs. Forest (Elizabeth) Sutton of Veedersburg Route 4; a son, Orville Powell of Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Warrick of South Bend and Mrs. Martha Cronkhite of Greencastle; two brothers, Edward Nicklas and Robert Nicklas, both of Covington; and three grandsons. She was preceded in death by a sister, three brothers and a grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Parham Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clyde Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. --typed by Walt W
