ATTICA — Jerry D. Gray Sr., 67, Attica, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 in the Waters of Williamsport. He was born May 18, 1940 in Independence, the son of Lawson and Edna (Murray) Gray Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Attica, attending Attica High School. He formerly worked at Peerless Wire in Lafayette and later for over 20 years worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company, where he retired in 2002. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include: a son, J. D. Gray, Attica; three daughters, Marsha Hill, Oxford, Cheryl (Kevin) Bulington, Lafayette; Lt. Col. Deedra (Lt. Col. Tim) Thombleson, Martinsville; two brothers, Lawson (Doris) Gray Jr., Attica and John (Judy) Gray, Camden, Mo.; a sister, Bonnie (Roger) Rushin, Attica; three grandsons, Justin, Craig and Josh; and three granddaughters, Julie, Shelley and Kate. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Faulkenberry; and a brother, Ronald Gray. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital.
