Wallace, Ind. - Mrs. Emma Gray, 95, of near Wallace on Hillsboro Route 1, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday (April 16, 1974) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fern Stockdale in Hillsboro. She was born Feb. 21, 1879, in Parke County, the daughter of Frank and Rachel Robertson Wooley. She was married in September of 1901 to William H. Gray of Wallace, who died in 1958. She had been a resident of Jackson Township, Fountain County, for 92 years and graduated from Wallace High in 1900. She and her husband operated a farm in Jackson Township. She was a member of the Wallace Christian Church and Ladies Aid, Jackson Township Home Demonstration Club and Daughters of Union Veterans of Indianapolis. Other survivors include two sons, Forrest of Waynetown and Frank of HIllsboro Route 1; 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Servies -Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown, with the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
