GRAY, Elsie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Miss Elsie Gray, 72, 417 Woodland Dr., Lebanon, died late Friday night in Witham Hospital there. She had lived in the Boon County seat the last seven years. Born near Kingman Jan. 8, 1890, she was a daughter of William and Elizabeth Ratcliff Gray. She was a graduate of Kingman High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College. She lived for 20 years in Indianapolis, taught at Arsenal Technical High School and also served as guidance director. She was a member of an Indianapolis Methodist Church and of the WSCS at Lebanon, of Lebanon Chapter DAR, Colonial Dames of Lebanon and the Indiana State Teachers Association. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Josie Pearcy of Normal, Ill.; two brothers, R. M. Gray of near Bloomingdale and Archie T. Gray of Marshall, and three nephews and two nieces. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman, where friends may call. Rev. Moren of Lebanon will officiate, and burial will be in the Fraternal Cemetery here.
