Attica – Mrs. Edna Gray, 55, wife of Lawson Gray, died in the family home of Rt. 2 at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. She had been ill five years and bedfast two years. Born at Willow Shade, Ky she had lived in the Attica community since she was four years old and was married at Green Hill in 1931. Surviving with the husband are four sons: Lawson Glen, John Paul and Jerry Dean, all of Rt 2, and Ronald E, of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Meadows of Miami, Fla and Mrs. Bonnie Kay Rushin of Rt 2; her father, WR Murray of Newtown; two brothers, Cyril and John Murray of Williamsport and a sister Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Jonesboro. – kbz

Attica, Ind. - Mrs. Edna Gray, 55, of Attica Route 2, died at 8:45 p.m. yesterday (July 26, 1967) at her home. She had been ill five years. Born in Willow Shade, Ky. Sept 1, 1911, she was the daughter of W.R. and Emma Clark Murray. She had resided in the area since she was four years old. She was married Jan. 3, 1931 to Lawson Gray who survives. Other survivors include her father of Newtown; four sons, Lawrence, John and Jerry , all of Attica Route 2 and Ronald of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Meadows of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Bonnie Kay Rushin of Attica Route 2; two brothers, Cyril and John Murray, both of Williamsport; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Johnson of Jonesboro; and 13 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Eldon Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 3 p.m. Friday.
