Abner Gray, a well to do farmer, who resided 5 miles southeast of Waynetown died Monday of cancer. He was 57 years of age and leaves a wife and two sons, John and Joseph. Funeral Wednesday afternoon at Waynetown at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Bird officiating - transcribed by kbz

The funeral of Abner Gray was preached here last Wednesday by Rev. Byrd, interment being at the Masonic Cemetery just west of town.

Abner Gray, a highly respected citizen living near Clore’s Grove and well known in this community, died of cancer last Monday evening. The funeral services were held at Waynetown by Rev. Byrd, and interment was at the same place. -s
