WAYNETOWN — Ward Graves, 65, a former resident of the Wingate community, died early Monday morning at Terre Haute. He was the son of Martin and Permelia Mount Graves. Surviving are the wife, Pearl Goff Graves; a daughter, Lois of Terre Haute; and a brother, Warren of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Graves of the Wesley community, Nov. 18, 1954. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home in Terre Haute, with burial at Terre Haute.

A retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad shops, Ward Graves, Stop 18, RR 7, Terre Haute was found dead at the residence early Monday morning.  He was 64 years old. His wife, Pearl, discovered the man dead when she went to call him for his breakfast.  He reportedly was the victim of a heart attack.  Surviving are one daughter, Lois of Terre Haute and one brother, Warren Graves of Hillsboro, Ind. Mr. Graves was a member of the Otterbein EUB Church. The body was taken to the Thomas Funeral Home. - kbz
