GRAVES, Permelia Mount

- Mrs. Ward Graves died Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock after an illness of only a few hours duration. Mrs. Graves had been visiting neighbors and just returned home when she complained of feeling badly. A doctor was hastily summoned, but was unable to render assistance, as she had suffered a stroke of apoplexy. She first complained of feeling ill about 5 o'clock and died about 8 o'clock. The children were notified of her illness and all arrived before death came except the daughter. Mrs. Raymond Alexander of Idaho. The children who were at the mother's side when she passed away were Jesse Graves of Waveland, Fred and Warren of Hillsboro, and Ward Graves of this place. Mrs. Graves was 52 years of age. She was born at Ladoga in 1864 and was married to Ward Grave sin 1883. Mrs. Graves was a member of the ME Church. She was also a Pythian Sister. The funeral was held today (Friday) at 10 o'clock at ME Church. Burial at Ladoga. -- kbz
