Covington -- Ollie Graves, age 78, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dale Koontz in Sidney, Ind., at 11 pm. Friday, Sept. 27, following an extended illness of several months. He had been a resident of the Portland Arch community, north of Covington, for 30 years. He had engaged in farming and stock dealing until ill health caused him to retire. He was born July 14, 1885 near Fairmount, in Vermilion County, Ill., the son of S. Milton and Lucy A. Gooch Graves. He was married Sept. 29, 1913 to Anna Aasheim of Enderlin, N. Dak. Surviving are: his wife of White Salmon, Wash.; five sons, Steve, Lawrence, Jesse and Frank, all of Washington, and John of Oregon; one daughter, Doris, also of Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. W. Koontz and Gladys, at whose home he died; six nephews, Dean, Grove, Glen, Ernest, and Robert Graves and T. Burris Rudicil; 11 nieces; several grandchildren and other relatives. He was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence W. The body remained at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro for services at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.  --typed by Walt W
