GRAVES, Glen Arthur - WWII

Kingman—Glen Arthur Graves, 69, Route 3, Kingman, died Thursday morning, May 11, 1989 at his home.
  He was born May 6, 1920 in Arthur, Ill., the son of Cash and Hazel E. Gerrard Graves. He was married April 21, 1950 to Thelma (Velma) L. Barker, who survives.
  He had been a resident of Fountain County since 1929 and a resident of the Cates area since 1945. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been a farmer all of his life and drove a school bus for 12 years. He was a former employee of Harrison Steel Castings Co., Attica, and worked 12 years at Fountain Foundry, retiring in 1981 due to ill health.
  He was a member of Yeddo Lodge 636 F.&A.M.
 Surviving besides his wife are four children, Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Townsend, Route 1, Covington; Steve (Peggy) graves and Dean (Debbie) Graves, Route 3, Kingman and Jean Graves, Covington, 12 grandchildren, and four sisters, Blanche Elliott, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Harry (Grace) Spivey, Wallace; Dorothy Imogene LaBaw, Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Richard (Bonnie) King, Route 1, Bloomingdale. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Cash.
  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Funeral services will be there at 2 p.m. Saturday with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington. – thanks to S
