Mrs. Esther F. Granitz, 70, of 2810 East Rd., died at 7:05 a.m. Monday (Oct. 4, 1971) at Danville Care Nursing Home. She had been ill for a year and a half. Born Jan. 8, 1901 in Danville, she was the daughter of Fred and Hannah Zepplin Lange. She was married to Joseph Granitz on Nov. 13, 1929 in Indianapolis, Ind. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Kenneth, of Danville; a brother, Otto Lange of Dodge, Neb.; and four sisters, Mrs. Bernice McClenan of Danville, Mrs. Louise Harris of Danville Route 3, Mrs. Cedric (Gertrude) Shoaf of Kingman, Ind., and Mrs. Seth (Margaret) Harmon, of Covington, Ind. She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. She was a member of Central Christian Church and the Fidelis Sunday school class of the church; the Danville chapter of the Eastern Star and the Home Economics section of the Danville Woman's Club. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central Christian Church, with the Rev. Robert Story officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. There will be visitation at Lakeside Funeral Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. - jlr
