Veedersburg, Ind.—Services were held at the Catholic Church of Delphi for Mrs. Janet Joan Graham, 40, of Tecumseh Bend and formerly of Veedersburg.
She died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 10, 1974) at the Indiana University medical Center in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Graham died five days after she was found in a ditch.
Carroll County police said they received a call at 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 5 that a woman was lying in a ditch along the road to the Tecumseh Bend addition in Carroll County
Sheriff Dale Curdy said the woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette and later transferred to the university medical center. She underwent brain surgery.
Police said Mrs. Graham’s husband, J. C. identified his wife 12 hours after the incident.
Police said Graham told them that he and his wife were driving home, that they quarreled, and that she jumped from the moving truck.
Born Sept. 22, 1934 in Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Fox.
Other survivors include two sons, J. C. III of El Paso, Tex. and Mike at home, two daughters, Mrs. Karen Sue Yates of Delphi and Mrs. Ronda Gardner in California; her parents of Veedersburg, a brother, Danny Fox of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Esther Clemence of Veedersburg; and three grandchildren. -s
