George Graham, age 92 years oldest resident of Veedersburg died at his home at 1 o'clock Monday morning. Mr. Graham fell a month ago, fracturing his hip. This injury, together with infirmities of age, caused his death.  Mr. Graham was born on October 14, 1852, at Circleville (Ohio), the son of George and Elizabeth Graham.  He married Maria Ann Parks, who preceded him in death many years ago.  Coming to Veedersburg to reside, Mr. Graham was for many years employed with the Johnson Handle Factory in Veedersburg, and later he worked for the Nickle Plate Railroad. He retired from active work some years ago,

Mr. Graham is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Mabel Irvin, Long Beach, Calif; Mrs. Maude Holmes, Veedersburg and Miss Elizabeth Graham, at home.  Two granddaughters, Mrs. Naomi Kingen of Lebanon and Mrs. Maxine Tockerton of Indianapolis and a great granddaughter, Doris Crane of Indianapolis also survive.

He was the father of the late GG Graham, Veedersburg business man who passed away less than a year ago.  Funeral services were held at the family home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with burial at Rockfield
Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. OW McGaughey.

Veedersburg – George Graham, 92, oldest resident of Veedersburg died at 1 a.m. Monday in his home here where he had been ill the past month with a fractured hip received in a fall.  He was born Oct 14, 1852 at Circleville, Ohio and came to Fountain County settling in Veedersburg when a young man. For many years he was employed at the Johnson Handle Factory here but later was employed by the Nickel Plate Railroad. He retired a number of years ago.  Surviving Mr. Graham who was preceded in death by his wife, the former Maria Ann Parks are three daughters: Mrs. Mable Irwin of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Maude Homes of Veedersburg and Miss Elizabeth Graham at home; two granddaughters, Mrs. Naomi Kingman of Lebanon, Ind and Mrs. Maxine Palkerton of Indianapolis; and one great granddaughter, Doris Crane of Indianapolis.
