GOUTY, Lewis Harland - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Lewis Harland Gouty, 79 died at 7:10 a.m. Monday (May 8) at the Rudisill Nursing Home where he had been a resident since January. He was born Sept 4, 1881, and his parents were Thomas and Christine Stutler Gouty. On March 11, 1903, he married Minnie Belle Lape, who preceded him in death in February 1934. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Zella Jester of Crawfordsville and Berdina Gouty of Logansport; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Moudy of Perrysville and Mrs. Iva Moudy of Covington and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Benson Chapel Church on PS 136, four miles west of Covington, Rev. CH Loveland will officiate. Friends may call at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington after noon Tuesday.
