GOUTY, Dale - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Dale Gouty of rural Perrysville, age 80, died Friday morning, December 11, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. He was born in Vermillion County, October 4, 1901, the son of Lewis and Laura Fishback Gouty. January 8, 1924, he married Merle Volkel, who survives. A life member of Gessie United Methodist Church, he was a farmer all his life and had also worked for Gessie Elevator and from 1953 to 1968 for Hyster Company in Danville, Illinois.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Ruthellen Davis of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and Georgianna Myers of Covington; and six grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Richard Pippin officiating. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery near Gessie. – thanks to S
