GOUTY, Bernice

Bernice A. Gouty, 76, of West Lafayette died at 9:10 p.m. Thursday April 27 in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. Mrs. Gouty worked for 20 years at Windsor Hall at Purdue University as a late gate receptionist. Before that she was an Avon representative for 14 years. Born July 18, 1918 she was a native of Shabbona, ill. She married Earl Gouty on June 20, 1948 in Danville, Ill. He died Jan 17, 1971. Mrs. Gouty was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was an avid card player and enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and mushroom hunting. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Davbid (Peggy) Sucher of Hebron; three sons, David and keith Gouty and Robert Gouty both of Covington; and three sisters, Edith Woodrum and Ural Clements both of Kentucky and Vatus Green of Greensburg, Ind. - kbz
