William Gookins, Veedersburg, has received word of the death of his brother, James Brant (Grant) Gookins, in Tulare, California.
Mr. Gookins was 88 years old, and had lived in California for many years.

Funeral services for James Grant Gookins, 87, of Tulare, Calif., were held there with burial in the Tulare Cemetery.
Mr. Gookins was born June 28, 1872. He passed away December 18th. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edgar L. Smith of Tulare, and a brother, William R. Gookins of Veedersburg. - jz
