GOODWINE, Ora - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

WILLIAMSPORT - Ora J. Goodwine, age 93, of Williamsport Rt. l, died Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Tall Trees Nursing Home in Covington. He had been ill six weeks. Mr. Goodwine was born June 1, 1875, in Warren County, the son of Horace and Mary Briggs Goodwine. He was a retired farmer and a life resident of Warren County. He was married Oct. 23, 1895 to Senora Ellen Willett. He was a member of the Tab Christian Church and a former member of the Modern Woodman Lodge. Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Buryl Myers of Williamsport, Mrs. Lucille Brooks of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Bernice Shephard of Remington; one son, Horace of Portland, Ore., one brother, Arley of Tab; 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tab Christian Church. The Rev. John Heflin officiated and burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery. The Crowmer & Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport was in charge of arrangements. - jlr
