Irene Belle Goodwine, 82, Rt. 1 Ambia, died at Community Hospital 12:45 a.m. Sunday where she had been a patient since March 17. She had been ill since 1962 and had been a resident of Alward Nursing Home since 1966.
She was born in Warrwn County, Jan. 12, 1888. she had lived in Tab most of her life, but also spent several years in the Kramer area. She married Arley O. Goodwine, Dec. 24, 1905 in Tab. She was a charter member of the Christian Church at Tab and was a housewife all her life.
She is survived by her husband by her husband, two half-brothers; Sherman Lefton, Attica and Fred Lefton, Danville, Ill.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell G., who died in 1959.
Friends will be received at DeSutter Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Monday.
Services will be in the DeSutter Chapel, 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. John Heflin officiating.
Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery near Ambia.

Funeral services for Irene Belle Goodwine, 82, of Rt. 1, Ambia, who died 12:45 a.m. Sunday at Community Hospital in Williamsport, were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at DeSutter Funeral Home, with Rev. John D. Heflin officiating.
Those who served as pallbearers were David Orr, Ricky Balser, Russell Wayne Goodwine, Manford Price, Everett Myer and William Roberts.
Interment followed in the family lot in Locust Grove Cemetery with DeSutter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
