GOODMON, Mary - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Mary Allen Goodmon of Brazil, age 76, died Tuesday morning, March 24, in Clay County Hospital at Brazil. She was born in Mecca, April 17, 1904, the daughter of James and Clara Wood Lunsford. She was first married to Howard Allen and after his death she married Ralph Goodmon, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Goodmon formerly worked at the Knightsville children’s home and as a waitress in Brazil.

  Surviving are two sons, Lloyd H. Allen and James Riley Allen, both of Brazil; two sisters, Ina Sneddon of Brazil and Alice Allen of Reelsville; a brother, William Lunsford of Kingman; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brazil. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery. – thanks to S
