Mrs. Susana A. Gooding, one of the oldest residence of the Wallace neighborhood, passed away at her home near Wallace, Wednesday night, March 5. Mrs. Gooding's death followed a ten days illness with pneumonia and came at 10 o'clock. The deceased who was born in Fountain County, February 5, 1857 had lived all her life in this county, residing most of the time in the vicinity of Wallace She was the daughter of of Eli & Susanna Darr Myers. Mrs. Gooding was twice married her first marriage being to John Andrew Wagoner. Following her first husband's death she was united in marriage to Allen Gooding. Mrs. Gooding was a member of the Wallace Lutheran Church. Three children survive from the first marriage. They are: Eli Wagoner of Wallace; Albert Wagoner of Attica and Mrs. Joe Summers of Tangier. Four children by the second marriage also survive, Epha Gooding, New Market; Lonnie Gooding, Waynetown; Charles Gooding of South Carolina, and Mrs. Lulu Gaines at home. Twenty-three grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandson survive. The funeral services were conducted at Wallace Lutheran Church Saturday morning was at 1 o'clock with Rev. Isaiah Whitman in charge. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery at Wallace
