KINGMAN - Robert F. Gooding, 61, of Kingman, died early Saturday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient two days. A welder, he had been employed at the Harrison Steel Casting plant at Attica until illness forced his retirement. He was a son of Samuel and Vida Sowers Gooding and was born near Cates on June 6, 1909. He was married to Madge Littrell on Oct. 3, 1936. She survives. Mr. Gooding was a member of Friends Union Church at Grange Corner. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Robert F. Jr. of Crawfordsville and Gordon and George Allen Gooding, at home; a brother, Kenneth of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Lela Dunn of Lawrenceburg, Ill., and three grandchildren. A sister preceded him in death. Funeral rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Woodrow Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McMillan officiating and burial in Phanuel Lutheran Cemetery east of Wallace.
