Huston Monroe Gooding, 59, lifelong resident of this community (Wallace), died Friday morning at 3 o'clock at the Lakeview Hospital in Danville. He had been ill with a complication of diseases for the past several days Born on a farm south of here on Dec. 2, 1880, he was the son of Thomas and Phoebe Anne Sowers Gooding. he was married April 16, 1916, to Lola Zackmire. The survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Stella Fox, who resided at home; two sisters, Mrs. Maria Newkirk and Mrs. Nory Alward; and two brothers, Noah Gooding and Samuel Gooding, all of near Wallace. The funeral arrangements have not been made. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Phanuel Lutheran church at Wallace, with burial in the cemetery near the church. The Rev. Earl Sowers of Crawfordsville will officiate.
